The Languages without Borders – Portuguese program promotes actions aimed at the teaching of Portuguese language to the international community.
The first step involves the organization of initial and continuing education events open to all university community members, as well as to public school teachers. These professionals will work for the qualification of foreigners in the Portuguese language, and may also work as teachers and evaluators to support the teaching and the internationalization process of Brazilian Portuguese language and culture.
Initially, the target audience of the Portuguese courses will be international students taking part in any student mobility program in Brazil.
The LwB – Portuguese program at UFSC promotes actions to support initial teacher education and offers free language courses to immigrants in vulnerable situations (PLAM Project).
